With enhanced 802.11ac Wi-Fi technology, the EX7300 AC2200 Nighthawk Wi-Fi Range Extender from NETGEAR supports wireless data transfer rates of up to 2200 Mbps. In addition to 802.11ac technology, this range extender also supports 802.11a/b/g/n networking standards so you can connect nearly any Wi-Fi enabled device to the network. With dual band functionality, you can allocate tasks such as email and web browsing to the 2.4 GHz frequency leaving the less congested 5 GHz frequency for more bandwidth intensive jobs such as streaming multimedia content, gaming, and more. The EX7300 features an internal antenna array and high power amplifiers for maximum wireless coverage as well as a single Gigabit Ethernet port for a range of network connection options.

Overall the extender does a decent job but still bit behind what i would expect from an extender of this price. I have had better speeds on a much older netgear expander N technology extender. This product does have a better range overall but seems odd that its 30-40 mbps less then a much older model advertised to be slower. The setup was also a bit more complex to setup then some of the older netgear designs unless. I have never had to contact a company before just to setup a extender but this one i have. Ps i have extensive computer and networking knowledge and the issue was some information was not explained properly in the manual after i got in it was easy.

It does what we wanted and expected. But setting it up was very tedious. The two setup methods provided did not work and the support person that helped me used a third method which was straight forward but VERY slow. The communication between my device and the extender was ridiculously slow. We also had to start over at least once when the communication just stopped or timed out. Without the patience and continuous reassurance from the very nice support person, I would never have gotten it installed because the slowness defied all common sense and I would have assumed it would never work and returned it.

Not sure if this thing really works or not? I’m not noticing much difference probably because I had decent WiFi already. With online learning and everyone in the house working online. It seemed like a good investment.

Our router is in a sort of obscure place to prevent it form being an eyesore. However, that also prevents a good signal in the back bedroom or anywhere outside the house really. With the AC2200 WiFi extender we now have a good signal in a good radius outside of our house and even in to my back shop building!

I haven’t had the best luck with extenders so I was skeptical… this one works great. I initially had it on the 2.4GHZ channel and had no success with extending the network to the dead zones on the second floor of my house. I tried it on the 5GHZ channel and my signal is perfect. In fact, I bought a second extender for downstairs/outside.

Hi, I purchased the Wifi extender in hopes it would provide better signal to my ring camera system on the exterior of my home. My wifi router is in a bedroom on the far left side of my house so it is difficult to get signal for my exterior cameras. I was hoping the Wifi extender from netgear would help due to the fact it had a high range of wifi extension. Once I set everything up I was expecting a dramatic difference in my signal quality and strength but it didn’t work as well as I hoped. I placed the wifi extender near my front door and approximately 45ft away is my garage where I placed a camera. The signal completely cuts in and out and it’s very frustrating. I plan on keeping the device in hopes of purchasing a Netgear gaming router
