With enhanced 802.11ac Wi-Fi technology, the EX7300 AC2200 Nighthawk Wi-Fi Range Extender from NETGEAR supports wireless data transfer rates of up to 2200 Mbps. In addition to 802.11ac technology, this range extender also supports 802.11a/b/g/n networking standards so you can connect nearly any Wi-Fi enabled device to the network. With dual band functionality, you can allocate tasks such as email and web browsing to the 2.4 GHz frequency leaving the less congested 5 GHz frequency for more bandwidth intensive jobs such as streaming multimedia content, gaming, and more. The EX7300 features an internal antenna array and high power amplifiers for maximum wireless coverage as well as a single Gigabit Ethernet port for a range of network connection options.

I was experiencing delays and drops of streamed content on a TV located some distance from the router. I read several online product reviews and purchased a Nighthawk AC2200 WiFi extender. The setup instructions were very easy to follow and the device was properly configured in 5 minutes. The device was placed in service according to the instructions and to date I have not had any interruptions.

The Wi-fi at the hotel where i was staying was iffy at best. One bar to no bars when trying to connect and since this hotel had No cell service for one company and plenty of signal for another I felt that a booster would be most effective. I bought the NETGEAR AC2200 Mesh WiFi Extender (EX7300v2) and found that the setup with phone app, (that i had to download near where I bought it because of no cell service at hotel) was quite simple. Once set up and installed I was able to connect to the local wi-fi and have full service in my room. I know it says it works better when placed at the half way point, but that would mean I place a piece of tech in the open elements and I didn’t like that option. I will definitely be buying another for my house when I get home so I can have wi-fi in my garage. Thanks Netgear.

Had to use app to set up with Asus router, but this went smoothly and took around 20 minutes, including a firmware update. Network extended with strong signal throughout second story of fairly large house, which previously had weak and inconsistent signal. Recommended!

We’re not completely sure if it’s our network or the extender, but this device does not seem to be very useful at the moment. Our provider says the network is fine, so we’ll see how things play out. As of now, somewhat disappointed.

One word. WOW. Easy to install. That eliminated my first concern. I could place it in the most optimum location just by plugging it in. Seem less with the entire network and all the devices.
