With enhanced 802.11ac Wi-Fi technology, the EX7300 AC2200 Nighthawk Wi-Fi Range Extender from NETGEAR supports wireless data transfer rates of up to 2200 Mbps. In addition to 802.11ac technology, this range extender also supports 802.11a/b/g/n networking standards so you can connect nearly any Wi-Fi enabled device to the network. With dual band functionality, you can allocate tasks such as email and web browsing to the 2.4 GHz frequency leaving the less congested 5 GHz frequency for more bandwidth intensive jobs such as streaming multimedia content, gaming, and more. The EX7300 features an internal antenna array and high power amplifiers for maximum wireless coverage as well as a single Gigabit Ethernet port for a range of network connection options.

A little complex to set up, but works great once done. Here’s what I did… follow the instructions, and get the range extender to connect to the internet, then do a firmware upgrade. Do a factory reset, and then set up the network the way you want it with both a 5g and 2g network with the same name and password. After that, your devices will pick the fastest connection automatically, and you won’t have to mess around switching networks and passwords….

I’ve been trying to get my ring camera to stay online and it was constantly being knocked off and not working properly. The cable guy suggested I get a mesh extender an it finally is working properly. Thank goodness.

Does the job!! Even over-powers the cable modem wifi. But if you’re particular about what you’re connected to as I am, I would suggest naming the extender name something different rather than sharing the same wifi name otherwise you will always be connected to the extender even if you are closer to the modem. Other than that, 5 stars! Always connected and always there to connect to.

The way my home was wired, it was best to put my router at one end of the house. This caused poor WiFi performance at the other end. I hooked the extender up and plugged it in to a centrally locates outlet and it has worked great! Would absolutely recommend to anyone looked for an extender!

Was able to quickly get the Extender connected to the Router However, after having a problem connecting my Ring video to the Extender, I needed to go-back into the Extender to make a couple of minor changes. I had issues with getting into the “Settings” area in order to make necessary changes. Once the IP is established with the Extender, should be able to go into the Settings and make any changes.
