With enhanced 802.11ac Wi-Fi technology, the EX7300 AC2200 Nighthawk Wi-Fi Range Extender from NETGEAR supports wireless data transfer rates of up to 2200 Mbps. In addition to 802.11ac technology, this range extender also supports 802.11a/b/g/n networking standards so you can connect nearly any Wi-Fi enabled device to the network. With dual band functionality, you can allocate tasks such as email and web browsing to the 2.4 GHz frequency leaving the less congested 5 GHz frequency for more bandwidth intensive jobs such as streaming multimedia content, gaming, and more. The EX7300 features an internal antenna array and high power amplifiers for maximum wireless coverage as well as a single Gigabit Ethernet port for a range of network connection options.

My house must have unusual walls because, despite it being only about three thousand square feet, I’ve always had problems with Wi-Fi reaching every room in the house. I used to have 2 modems/routers and two IP addresses with my previous internet service provider, but now we changed ISPs and have only one modem/router/IP, which left all areas of the house which are more than one room away from the modem/router with very weak or no internet connection. I placed this Netgear extender outside the room where the modem/router is and now the rest of the house receives a strong Wi-Fi connection.

I’ve not had it very long, but It was easy to set up with the Netgear app. I have a special insulation and have a problem with my WiFi service. I used it where the problem seems worse and I could talk and not have my call drop at all. I will update when I’ve used it longer, but I don’t anticipate any issues.

Bought for 3rd floor gym/ entertainment room. WiFi appreciably better – some sluggish apps on my iPhone sped up noticeably. But my treadmill’s training app is still prone to buffering, and cutting off. So better, but not as great as hoped. Thanks

Set up in Access Point Mode with Ethernet connection to router. Excellent response and throughput. Used for wireless video camera connection to network. Cameras require significant signal strength and throughput. Thanks NetGear for a great solution!

The first few days the EX7300V2 worked very well. Now it constantly drops connection. Even using the Nighthawk App is difficult to attempt management of the extender. I returned the EX7300v2 to the store I purchased it.

Recently finished our basement and we could never get wifi in the finished room. After setting up the mesh wifi extender we have great fast wifi in every corner of the house. The mesh feature is amazing because I can roam the whole house while streaming and it doesn’t even have to stop to buffer when it switches wifi zones. Great product.

Any WiFi system will have issues. The nighthawk setup has had the best customer support. Easy to use network dashboard, easy to install, common sense directions, and automatically registers with your system after install onto an existing netgear system!

I had no problem with setup. The quick start manual was well written. My router is the Nighthawk x6 and I needed stronger coverage in my bedroom located in the rear of the house. The X6 router is located in the front of the house. The xtender is located midway in the kitchen. The LEDs will assist you with proper placement. Once everything was set, I sat on the floor in the furthest corner of the back bedroom and took a speedtest using 2.4 and 5gig signals, KABOOM! 120 meg/sec using my Note 4 phone on the 5gig network. It was as if I was sitting right next to the router in the livingroom. I’ve had it for almost a month now and haven’t had any change in signal strength, range or speed. 5 Stars!!!

Have a 6 bedroom home and have one router on the first floor and 2 extenders on the 2nd. Even with the extenders connection was spotty. Needed an extender with an Ethernet port so went out and bought the ac2200 mesh WiFi extender and I no longer needed the other 2 extenders. It in addition to my modem are more then sufficient for the entire house. WiFi became 10x better since setup!!! Because it’s a mesh extender it’s like one awsome network for the entire house!!
