With enhanced 802.11ac Wi-Fi technology, the EX7300 AC2200 Nighthawk Wi-Fi Range Extender from NETGEAR supports wireless data transfer rates of up to 2200 Mbps. In addition to 802.11ac technology, this range extender also supports 802.11a/b/g/n networking standards so you can connect nearly any Wi-Fi enabled device to the network. With dual band functionality, you can allocate tasks such as email and web browsing to the 2.4 GHz frequency leaving the less congested 5 GHz frequency for more bandwidth intensive jobs such as streaming multimedia content, gaming, and more. The EX7300 features an internal antenna array and high power amplifiers for maximum wireless coverage as well as a single Gigabit Ethernet port for a range of network connection options.

I purchased the EX7300 because I was getting only fair signal in my patio, 80 ft from router and walls and sliding glass door in between, and very spotty signal in my pole barn about 180 ft from house. I now get good reliable signal everywhere even with the pole barn garage door down. Very easy to set up just follow the enclosed quick start instructions. LEDs in front of extender are extremely useful to me. Very happy with purchase.

The 7300 did exactly what we needed, giving us full signal strength in the kitchen and family room, where we and our guests often sit to surf. It also helped with streaming on our smart TV. The only issue is that since it shows up as identical to our router (not as a separate device) when looking for connections, it can be difficult to tell which I am connecting to. The service is the same, but the password is different. Seems like identifying it as a Netgear 7300 in the connection list would be an easy feature.

I set it up a little bit of a pain and every time I came home it would cut out my wifi there my home and I would have to get back to my wifi and also have to hook into my wifi every time

Probably the simplest and easiest setup features I’ve ever seen. The incoming cable router was installed in the basement and with the AC2200 installed on the second floor the entire house has great Wi-Fi coverage. I highly recommend this product.

The AC2200 does extend your wifi range, but no where near the “up to 10,000 SF” noted on the package. Our house is 2,650 SF and I still have trouble filling the dead zones with a good wifi signal.
