With enhanced 802.11ac Wi-Fi technology, the EX7300 AC2200 Nighthawk Wi-Fi Range Extender from NETGEAR supports wireless data transfer rates of up to 2200 Mbps. In addition to 802.11ac technology, this range extender also supports 802.11a/b/g/n networking standards so you can connect nearly any Wi-Fi enabled device to the network. With dual band functionality, you can allocate tasks such as email and web browsing to the 2.4 GHz frequency leaving the less congested 5 GHz frequency for more bandwidth intensive jobs such as streaming multimedia content, gaming, and more. The EX7300 features an internal antenna array and high power amplifiers for maximum wireless coverage as well as a single Gigabit Ethernet port for a range of network connection options.

In my experience the connection is simple and only takes a minute or so. My house is 2 stories plus a basement and is about 2,000 square feet in total. My router is located in the basement near the front of my house, with the extender on the main level at the back of the house. Prior to the extender I couldn’t get a wifi signal on my back patio right outside my back door, now I have a strong wifi signal in my back yard a good 50 feet away from my house. I read reviews stating after hooking up this extender that their wifi speeds dropped, this was not the case for me. Overall, I’m very impressed and satisfied with this purchase and would recommend it to any single family home that needs a boost in wifi signal.

I was experiencing delays and drops of streamed content on a TV located some distance from the router. I read several online product reviews and purchased a Nighthawk AC2200 WiFi extender. The setup instructions were very easy to follow and the device was properly configured in 5 minutes. I tried to link this device in several times, I even called Netgear support and the tech on the line stated that he thought the device was defective because we tried everything, re-sets, on/off, router re-sets, factory re-sets, nothing would work, so now I have another paper weight.

Since I received and hooked up my AC2200 Mesh extender, my internet has been so much better. It was easy to set up and get running. Afterwards, the internet speed has improved and I can get internet in difficult areas in my home. And the plus side is it doesn’t matter how many devices are being used at the same time, the internet is not interrupted or slowed down. I will definitely recommend this product.

Please note that Nighthawk extenders are compatible with other Netgear Routers but won’t sync up automatically per instructions. I needed to contact Netgear Technical Support which was fairly easy and we activated the device through computer URL to get process started.
