With enhanced 802.11ac Wi-Fi technology, the EX7300 AC2200 Nighthawk Wi-Fi Range Extender from NETGEAR supports wireless data transfer rates of up to 2200 Mbps. In addition to 802.11ac technology, this range extender also supports 802.11a/b/g/n networking standards so you can connect nearly any Wi-Fi enabled device to the network. With dual band functionality, you can allocate tasks such as email and web browsing to the 2.4 GHz frequency leaving the less congested 5 GHz frequency for more bandwidth intensive jobs such as streaming multimedia content, gaming, and more. The EX7300 features an internal antenna array and high power amplifiers for maximum wireless coverage as well as a single Gigabit Ethernet port for a range of network connection options.

As a remote worker and having two preteens having consistent wifi is critical to my sanity. We had an older extender and we were constantly having the signal drop and it wasn’t able to support our needs any longer. After a frustrating day working and not having signal I broke down and ordered the AC2200. What a difference in my day and the speed for my connection. Major upgrade and didn’t break the bank.

Easy to connect, even to both wi-fi bands. Creates a web that is truly effective, even through our concrete block walls and glass sliders to to lanai. Now we have seamless, strong wi-fi signal throughout our house and lanai, approximately 4200 sq ft. Did not have to replace my Comcast modem-router, either. Just what I needed in one simple package.

The Wi-Fi in our house was very spotty and my office was a total dead zone. Since installing the Nighthawk our Wi-Fi has been much stronger throughout the house and getting better daily. Installation was quick and easy and the mobile app allows you to test your signal strength. A little pricey, but worth it.

My product works great, it has extended my wifi network exactly as advertised. The setup was a bit hard because the app is not that user friendly, but after a couple of attempts it worked.

I use the AC2200 as an access point using Cat5 cable hardwired to my Netgear N750 router (approx 70′ distance from router to extender). I have it plugged into a wall outlet 6′ off the floor and approx 5′ from a window. In this capacity, I receive a signal as far as 500′ away on my 10ac property. In fact, the AC2200 signal is stronger than the router’s wifi signal that it’s connected to. My devices rarely switch from the AC2200 signal to the N750 signal regardless of where I’m at on the property. I can’t speak to the extender mode strength as I only use in access point mode. Install and set up was very simple. Just be sure to be patient and wait at least the stated 100 seconds for it to power up when first plugging in to wall outlet. Great product!

This has made all of our wifi internet use mostly not work. We can only connect from one room now, away from the “extender”. Once connected, sometimes the range is better, sometimes it disconnects. I will have to find a different solution.

Very easy to set up. The extender works well in general, but from time to time one band ( typically 2G-Ext) would seem to get stuck and lose connection for hours. So far it is meeting expectations, as long as one band stays connected.
