With enhanced 802.11ac Wi-Fi technology, the EX7300 AC2200 Nighthawk Wi-Fi Range Extender from NETGEAR supports wireless data transfer rates of up to 2200 Mbps. In addition to 802.11ac technology, this range extender also supports 802.11a/b/g/n networking standards so you can connect nearly any Wi-Fi enabled device to the network. With dual band functionality, you can allocate tasks such as email and web browsing to the 2.4 GHz frequency leaving the less congested 5 GHz frequency for more bandwidth intensive jobs such as streaming multimedia content, gaming, and more. The EX7300 features an internal antenna array and high power amplifiers for maximum wireless coverage as well as a single Gigabit Ethernet port for a range of network connection options.

I have no quarrel with the performance of this unit when I first installed it. It was later when I changed routers that it would not sync up properly…the wrong lights were active. I tried a factory reset, and the unit froze with all of the lights on. I think I got a lemon.

Like the mesh technology, did not seem to resolve the issues I expreience with streaming as I still have some of the pausing. Cannot say for sure if the issue is with the streaming app or poor wifi signals.

I set it up, updated the firmware, set it to use the same network as the main network. Huge increase in wifi area. All the way to the cottage out back of the main house. There’s a small hiccup when moving between coverage areas, but only momentarily. Very happy with this product.

Setup was easy with the Nighthawk phone app. Router is next to TV on ground floor, AC2200 is on the floor above, probably 40 feet away straight line distance. Standing next to router I get about 170 mbps download on my iPhone 11. Had been getting about about 25 mbps in bedroom upstairs with some spots with no wifi signal at all. Now 80-100 mbps everywhere upstairs. No glitches after 1 week of use. I Iike that it uses the same wifi network name as router.
