Plugged it in and had fast transfer from the 10g ports from tower to nas easily. Enough other ports for various hardwired options at 2.5 I believe too.

Runs great, does run warm. I fixed that by placing a cheap usb fan with rubber feet over the 10Gb ports. That has cooled it down and hopefully it will run forever.

easy to set up and works well.

Added this switch to my server rack and couldn’t be happier. Bonded 4 ports to the server, connected the 2.5gbe port to the Asus router off the races! Super solid and speedy!

My need was for a switch that would be capable to run LACP to my router since it only has 1 interface higher than 1GE and it is being used for my WAN connection (2.5gbps). I also wanted something with 10GE ports for the near future when I could upgrade the router. This switch fit the bill perfectly since the other alternative I saw had static bundling which is useless since it won’t load-share. With this switch in place I can have 2gbps of traffic going through by bundling two 1GE interfaces together (not quite the 2.5 but better than 1) and when I finally get the router upgraded I can use it as a plain access switch with the 10G uplinks connected directly to the router. The interface is nice and feels more stable than other vendors. From other reviews I’ve seen it doesn’t quite reach 10G (more like 7) but that’s quite alright for the price.

Does what it is supposed to do. User friendly web interface and quite responsive. Good for people starting to get into 10G but not ready for the cost of an exclusively 10G switch.

It’s not a fancy managed switch, but it works for small stuff. You might miss being able to define your own vlan IDs (this only has 1-10), but other than that it has easy LACP that makes setting up a NAS with bonded NICs on the 2.5 Gbps ports a snap. Great throughput for backups.

Overall I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. In fact I have purchased a second device to compliment my home lab environment (VMware, KVM, SSD NAS, etc.) and will have both connected to a Netgear Nighthawk SX10 for internet access. My only suggestion is to ensure you maintain proper ventilation, protect your investment!
