Wow, this became my central power server for my home’s PoE cameras. I moved my server and have an uplink from this switch to my server and ir works perfectly. All my cameras are 4K and performance is flawless with this extended network device.

I am upgrading my IP camera wiring to include patch panels, keystone jacks, Cat6 cable, and I wanted a single PoE Switch that could handle it all. I don’t have all old cameras pluse the newer ones ported over yet but the switch runs very cool at the power supply and the switch itself. I think that running cool may lead to a longer component life. The switch is plugged into a full sinewave UPS also bought from B&H. I chose this switch which was more expensive than the slightly less powerful model but cheaper unit. One benefit this switch has is apparently the ability to recover from a short. One camera connection had a leak induced short and the switch turned off the port. I don’t reccomend testing this on your setup but the switch port is fine.
