My network did not work at all with this switch replacing a older 8port switch. Turns out that the DHCP protocol does not work with this switch. Useless in my application – ineffective to go around setting all IP addresses. This warning should be in the description. Netgear I’m quite disappointed that you only put this info in the customer chat room.

Solid switch. Never had any issues. I had the first one for almost a year until a freak power surge incident fried it. I have been running the new one for about a month and haven’t had any issues. Works great right out of the box! Provides excellent data speeds throughout my home via my networking closet.
