Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

We live in a rural area, with only 12mbps service available. Using ethernet cables, we can both get the full 12 mbps service from our desks in different areas of the house. With wireless, I could only get 7.5 at my desk.

The instructions for this mesh router are in the app with no need to page through a lengthy flyer in multiple languages. The device powered up right out of the box and automatically hooked up to the satellites when I plugged them in. The quality and coverage of my internet is flawless even with thick plastered walls.

When receiving the delivery box i was thinking these are so small and like and how could this work? It’s working! I’m sending the signal about 100′ to 2nd building and so far it’s working! The real test will be connecting a Smart TV for streaming!

Firmware couldn’t update leading to a corrupt NEW device! Was on the phone with netgear engineer and wasted 4 hours of my time to only learn the device is corrupt !

Positioning the base unit and the satellite unit at opposite ends of the first story provides great coverage for the entire 2 story house. Ethernet output on the satellite is also very helpful. Great product.

This router lets us stream outdoors in 4K which was never possible with the other one. Comparing this router to my 5 year old router is night and day.
