Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

After doing lots of research, I chose the MK63 3-pack system. Installation was straightforward with just one satellite needing a reset to connect with the system. Download speeds on a T-Mobile 100 mbs gateway are went from ~80mbs to 132 with this mesh system installed! Thanks Netgear!

The overall Netgear nighthawk mesh net work runs smoothly. Set up required a couple of attempts to synchronize the satellites and the ad on satellite, but the coverage is strong. I think this is a good system in an environment where you are operating multiple devices. Our household contains almost 20 wireless devices and the Netgear system seems to be supporting that level of demand. I did reach out to Netgear technical support by phone, and the hold time was very brief, and the information provided was accurate. That was reassuring.

I like that it’s wifi 6, and it’s secure from hackers. Also, I love the guest feature as my family visits I’m turning them on to it. I haven’t had a chance to upload or download yet, but, I’m guessing it’s pretty fast with Wifi 6.
