Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

Overall the setup of the device was very easy, using their app it walked through the setup and synced with the 2 satellites very quickly. I have had this for about a week now and so far it has worked great, I have strong wifi 6 signals around my entire house and I love that each satellite also has an ethernet port so i can connect my NAS drives and other hardwired devices. This works significantly better than my old mesh system which was using Xfinity and their Xfinity pods.

I have been happy with a Linksys router for several years, but when I learned about the Netgear Mesh 6’s promise to deliver coverage across 3000 sf, I thought it would be worth switching. So far I am getting great coverage through a 2700 sf house plus the satellite extends coverage to the garage and part of the yard. I’m very happy!
