Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

Significantly improved coverage, our fiber terminates in our basement and we ended up some unfortunate bad blind spots for WiFi due to location. Insert nighthawk mesh WiFi and boom problems solved, I had some smart plugs I attempted to use last Xmas and the process was maddening I could never get them to connect, I just got them out and voila ! Thanks to the nighthawk system they work like a charm now. One last impressive feature, as an it security manager who specializes in vulnerability management I was blown away by the armor security features, the built in vulnerability scanning is incredible!

i spent 3 hrs on a chat with tech support trying to connect 2.4ghz smart home devices to the mesh system and was unsuccessful. Tech support stated he wished netgear would share that info with consumers before purchasing this product. Tech support stated that there should be a firmware update that will help with this problem but does not know when that will be.

No drop signals during this 1st week of operation. Internet speeds that I pay for are being acheived. Mention this because some may feel you will get faster internet, not so you get what you pay for. My local transmission speeds with wifi are better, not sighnificantly. Only have one laptop with ax network adapter. Got to support an on order fire tv max with wifi 6.
