Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

I am satisfied with the system overall. Installation and setup was straightforward with the supplied instructions and associated app. The one area that provided some difficulty was the security setting, the M60 had three options, WPA2, WPA3, and WPA/WPA2. I initially chose WPA3, thinking that WPA3 was a superior setting security level however, many of my installed devices operate on 2.4 and would not connect. After some time I found that the best setting for security and my various 2.4 and 5g devices was WPA2. The M60 with the two satellites provide my home with improved WiFi coverage above my previous AC router.

Bought the system for my home office to replace the Spectrum wifi router and it is an improvement in all aspects. Overall wifi is faster, no phantom outages have happened, and I get to have an Ethernet connection via the mesh system. The system is also working amazingly with my Quest 2 for Airlink, I can play almost anywhere in the house now and the quality is amazing. I wasn’t able to do that before.

Excellant coverage in my 1800 sq ft home, my backyard and driveway get coverage too. Setup was easy for me since I already had the NightHawk app, but for new folk they may find it a lil difficult or become impatient in setting it up.
