Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

Out of box set up was very simple. The mesh system seems to have better range than 5. I live in a log home so my walls are dense. But so far out side home i have slightly better range.Time will tell.

You’d think having this in a small home would help right? No. Signal is very weak considering there’s three mesh routers. I will not even mention how long and frustrating the set up was, it would wait until the end of the set up and say” please try again another time”. Also after a few days say good bye to your wifi because it just drops randomly, I don’t know how this is a product on shelves.

Well this thing defiantly boasted my internets Wi-Fi, and I say defiantly because it not only took forever to setup but it seemed to drop all the time. After a few times of dropping it seemed to only take about 15 minutes to set back up but that first go round, I was on the phone with support for well over an hour. My experience with this product was unfortunate because I really wanted to like it. I will say that when the system is up and running it works great.
