Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

I am using this to expand my home network as a wireless access point. I have another router running dhcp so I am missing out on a lot of functionality of this system. The wifi coverage though is excellent. One down side is the app does not work when in this configuration. Also, the light on the main unit stays orange when in this mode. It would be nice if it were blue indicating it was working. The vast majority of people using this system will never have this problem.

This is hands down the best device in it’s class! I have an entire house full of happy people now. They can stream, in every room in the house and the basement has complete coverage as well. I am now able to stream from my garage, which is a huge accomplishment. Thanks NightHawk!

I was needing a good mesh system because we have very limited internet where we live. The router that the ISP provided just would not reach to the far ends of the house. We had an extender but that did little to solve the problem. After installing this mesh system, we are now getting almost full capacity at all corners of the house! Would recommend any day of the week!

Recently bought the Nighthawk for our Two story and loving it ! Love the total control I have over devices added to the network . Strong signal running in every room and out to the backyard ! Guest have their own network in the network and is controlled as well . If you want strong signal throughout your home with total control you need this !!

I prefer to get things working on my own rather than calling for help whenever possible. Trying to setup the system using the app, as suggested, simply didn’t work after. Wouldn’t connect automatically and wouldn’t allow manual input either. Fortunately, 3 minutes on the phone and the setup was completed. The system has worked flawlessly since and the app is nice to have for its useful features.
