Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

While this is a good choice for a Mesh system, there are a couple of adjustments needed out of the box, one of which is to get it to play nice with your home connection. After that it does real well. While Netgear range extenders had been in use for years. There finally was a point when only a mesh system could handle the number of devices. The reason for the 4 and not five stars is because one of those adjustments nessesary to make it work is not listed anywhere. It’s only know from experience. One of those one click fixes that otherwise it doesn’t work.. Overall though,. It’s a good stable system.
