Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

Prior to getting the Nighthawk system the house had some dead spots and programs like Hulu and Netflix would have to buffer or error out saying “something went wrong”. After putting the system in all those issues went away and streaming is fast and flawless. No more dead spots and I am able to take teams calls for work and walk around the house without the call dropping as it changes connection which used to happen with another product.

Scored well in Consumer Report tests and works well. We have around 4K sq ft to cover and are averaging around 300 Mbps speeds in just about all rooms. There was a minor hiccup with setting up Ethernet backhaul, though NetGear tech support got us back on track.

Bought these to help the wifi connection in my room because it kept dropping. All I have to say is that ever since getting the nighthawk system I haven’t had a single wifi issue and it makes downloading games on my ps4 go by so quickly because of the direct Ethernet connection to the extender.
