Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

I appreciate the ease of setup, although it seems I have a little less control over a manual setup on this as opposed to my previous Netgear router (r6300v2). Security appears to be beefed up on this new mesh system and covers all parts of a 3 story house. Excellent bandwidth on both 5.2 and 2.4 networks.

The router on the first Nighthawk failed after 18 months. Some equipment had to be wired to the nearby satellite due to buffering. This router and satellites are bigger and there is no buffering so far.

We had issues with wifi and connectivity all the time throughout the house until we got the Nighthawk, my speeds have doubled and signal is perfect, and it doesn’t lose any signal no matter where we are now in the house! This is the best way to go for wifi and gaming!!!!

In the end the mesh system works great and allows me to effortlessly walk through my house without losing connections on my laptops or phones. However, the setup did not go easily and I had to reset the satellites and redo the initial setup a second time (even though it states it was successful the first).

Works really well as described. Easy to install and set-up. Replaced my 6 Xfinity pods to the 3 piece mesh and my range in a 2500 square foot home is so much better. The unit also sends me notification for sync and issues. This is a must and recommend to friends and family.

I was replacing an old system that had limited range and had become unreliable. The nighthawk system required only one satellite to cover the entire 4000 square foot home. It was very easy to install. Even though we lost our internet connection during the install the system picked back up on its own when our connection came back on and finished on its own. We live in an area that has unreliable internet and our old system would take hours to come back on line after an outage. The nighthawk is almost immediate which is really great since we also have to rely on WiFi calling. Very pleased overall

Not impressed with instructions in the box. Followed the instructions which said to download netgear app. Did not work. Looked online to find someone who had this system and was using uverse. Apparently you have to go into configuration setup and turn on and off multiple items to bridge router. Once connected correctly in improved the current download speed that I was getting. Did not have to purchase more internet bandwidth after all
