Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

With 2 teenagers streaming and gaming, we felt we had the right “Internet package” however when the gamers would check the Internet speed it was subpar. Got the Nihgthawk DualBand Mesh and it has been perfect. Our Internet speed is consistently on the higher end. It’s like giving it steroids

It may require some testing to find the optimum placement of the satellite. Having a 2nd level to your home makes this tool a necessity for optimum WIFI coverage.

I ordered the system bc my modem is on the opposite side of our house where we have other computers we need and use. The signal was poor on the other side resulting in lag, delays and dropped wireless signal. Since installing the system we have not had a single issue with consistent signal strength throughout our home.

I now have strong wireless throughout my home, and I no longer have to apologize for a bad connection when on video calls. Despite that improvement, there are some issues with the setup. If I’m using WiFi for a phone call awhile walking through my house, my calls drop fairly regularly as my phone doesn’t move from one node to another efficiently (brand new iPhone). The system has also gone down a few times requiring a reboot of the main node. It’s not the end of the world, but it’s annoying when you expect something to just work consistently.

Overall, very nice system. Setup was fairly easy using the app despite having to setup one of the satellite units multiple times prior to getting a connection. My only wish… Make the system available with three satellite units and a base station. I need one more for my garage/work area. Definitely would recommend to my friends and neighbors.

I purchased this system to extend the Wi-Fi range in my house. This is a sleek system that looks good and works well. The internet connection is in my man cave in the far corner of the house and I was having issues with signal dropping on the other side of the house by the garage. Those days are long gone as I have a strong signal throughout the house with strategic placement of the 2 satellite modules. Highly satisfied.
