Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

Have been using the default Xfinity router with a 300 mbps service. Was really feeling an upgrade and with a new 1.2 gbps plan along with a Motorola MB8611 modem and Netgear Nighthawk, I’ve seen a huge increase in download/upload speeds as well as file transfers over the network. Highly recommend!

This mesh router works great, and I have a strong wireless signal throughout the house. I’m upgrading to fiber optic internet and needed a newer, faster router to take advantage of the increased speed. This does the job. I’ve got over 20 connected devices and it works perfectly. Best of all, the set up was a breeze using the iOS app. I renamed the SSID and password to match my prior router and all the devices automatically connected. Fantastic product. Highly recommended.

Set up was moderately easy and quick. Got the satellites set up and they really do speed up the internet. What I like a lot is the app they have that notifies me of new people joining the network and the security features included. There’s a guest feature that I haven’t used yet but it seems useful. I dont know how to split the router into 2.4 and 5ghz yet but I hope it has that feature. It’s definitely fast and the satellites are pretty useful so I’d recommend it.

I’ve tried 3 different extenders to get WiFi out to my cabin from the main house. A guest in my Airbnb recommended this unit and it was easy to set up and replicated the WiFi signal out there (instead of extending it). I set up a separate guest network so they don’t access our secure WiFi. Now our guests can easily stream TV and have plenty of WiFi for everyone. I’m very pleased with the product.

So far Netgear has worked great. My Netflix account would often glitch due to it being overused and with the Nighthawk it has not glitched. The WiFi seems to be working more efficiently.

Speed and range are much improved over my older Netgear WNDR 3400v3. I should have researched security more because 3 of my devices do not support WPA-3, requiring me to downgrade the settings to WPA-2. That is a minor disappointment. Other than that, our whole house is covered with wi-fi at 300 mbps, which is what I purchase from my ISP.
