Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

I have a three story home. So I purchased the Net Gear mesh system to eliminate the multiple extenders I had throughout my home. None of which were that great at providing a good reliable signal. Now with the mesh I have the router unit in my bedroom, the satellite unit in the first floor hallway and we now have strong coverage throughout the home. My son has his computer in the basement and has no issues. At the time of this review I am sitting outside my back door and have full Wi-Fi signal. The system so far has been awesome and since my purchase I upgraded to a Net Gear Nighthawk Modem. Now when I connect a device to the network I see one network not three different

I had a complete dead spot in the downstairs office and it was the WiFi got so slow that I would just leave my phone on cellular at home, this mesh wifi system completely solved it and now I am finally getting the speeds my internet provider says I’m supposed to get. Great signal strength without dead spots throughout our 2,500 square foot house. We even have a good wi-fi signal extending beyond the boundary of our yard. Guided installation using the Nighthawk app was a breeze. Just make sure and connect the router and not one of the satellites to your modem.

Between the shape and construction of my house, there are certain parts that don’t get solid WiFi signal with a standard access point. I’ve tried the old extenders and repeaters, but my devices just fought over which signal they thought was stronger. With the mesh technology, my devices think it’s all the same and everything runs smoothly. I now have solid coverage in every sq foot of my home.

Switch from a traditional wifi router- modem setup. I game in my basement with my satellite and have the base upstairs. Using the ethernet plugin from the back of the satellite, in receiving similar speeds to being hooked directly in-line with my modem. AMAZING. Not to mention zero dropped connections and a seamless setup. 5 stars
