Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

The system was fairly easy to set up. I did have a satellite that did not work, but a call to support helped me reset it so that it worked well. We have terrific coverage throughout our house with fast speeds for both upload and download. We are very happy with the system and we think that it will serve our needs well for now and for the for seeable future.

Only 2 network ssid allowed to be created. I am unable to find how to add firewall to the unit. Sometimes they are dead spot in the signal between switching to the satellite

I got the Netgear Mesh WiFi system to improve Wi-Fi coverage in my home. Previously, I would always have stoppage in speeds and coverage in certain sections of my home. That is no longer an issue. The mesh system drastically improved the Wi-Fi coverage in my home and also improved my bandwidth output. I have 300 mb/s speed as my internet plan, I used to get between 275-300 when right by the router or with a wired connection. I am now pulling on average 315 mb/s everywhere in my house. The app makes it pretty easy to set up and control your network as well. I would highly recommend this system.
