Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

So far this mesh system has been great. My home office is on a different floor and than my modem/router. I cannot hardwire and the Nighthawk has made my WIFI close to the same speed as hardwiring in. Pretty sweet!

I have to have my router in the far corner of my house so bedroom was dead zone at the other end. Started with a Nighthawk AC1600 using a net gear extender and it hardly worked. My house is only 1400 sq ft total but still had nothing but issues. Installed this mesh system with the router in one corner and the satellite in the far opposite corner of the house. It has been amazing, fast and solid so far, no issues whatsoever. Highly recommend for stable wifi in all areas.

This mesh system has undoubtedly improved the WiFi signal in my home but I am finding some devices like the Ring doorbell and Xbox One sometimes drops the connection or cannot see the SSID when powered on. The new router did solve a connection issue with a newly purchased Nordictrack S22i exercise bike so that is a plus. Overall verdict: mixed results trending towards positive.

The system works really well after you set it up. Out of the box, the phone app would not show the satellites even though the web applications showed they were connected. After much research and hours of playing with the equipment found that I needed to update the router and satellites to the latest firmware. I did this and now the apps are recognized, but I lost the ability to see the system remotely. I would give this five stars if the app software were less glitchy.
