Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

Nighthawk mesh connected easily and easily allowed the use of the existing network SSID to quickly connect all existing systems in the house without interruption. I expanded an already existing mesh network for better in house coverage and to allow more devices to connect. Worked like a charm!

Phenomenal router, only issue is that if you need to re-install, it can be difficult and you are only provided free tech support assistance for first 90 days. To get assistance after 90 days, you need to pay for the support. That’s frustrating but, again, the router works great once it’s installed. The nighthawk app is also very convenient

I was having issues with my Sony TV becoming disconnected from my ATT Fiber internet service. I was ready to switch providers until I discovered that my other devices were still up and running. I was talking to my cable guy who told me about mesh routers so I decided to give it a shot. I was not disappointed as I haven’t had a disruption in movies streaming since installing. The installation was easy and improvement in service was noticeable! A definite upgrade!

I set up the mesh system and it seemed good for a few minutes. Then the network could not be found. While the network could not be found, it seemed to be scanning my devices for security issues. I got frustrated and returned the devices.

Solid mesh router at a reasonable price for a 3-station system. The software and app are identical to those use by Orbi. The use configurable settings are more comprehensive that the Google mesh router. I do wish that you could completely turnoff the 5GHz signal temporarily to make the setup of IoT devices that only work on 2.4GHz a bit easier instead of just reducing the 5GHz power.
