Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

Purchased this for dead spots in the family room. We needed this to extend coverage of wifi to opposite end of the house. Cable company installed the main line in one corner of the house. Their standard wifi could not reliably reach all areas of the house (1900 square feet). Installed this Nighthawk mesh system and was able to have good wifi in all areas of the house now.

Set up both using the router address instead of using app. This way I didn’t have to use their “Free” trial. Used wired back haul. Went 200 feet with underground Cat6. 300 up and down which is what I pay for. Going to router setting and following instructions from website under support made it easy. No way around not registering product. Just remember when prompted if you have a phone to reply no. Not a fan of apps and “free” trials. Cannot believe any company would charge for parental controls.

This is the best product that I ever had. In my home I had 200Mbps but I had a problem reaching 60Mbps, my internet was unstable and poor range. With this product all my home had a excellent wifi range, the internet is stable and the speed test is in 199.5Mbps. I am so happy with this product that I have installed it for a family member and two friends. I will continue to recommend this product. The application is super simple to handle and it fascinates me that you can see the devices connected to the network, change the name and deactivate the internet if necessary, do speed tests, analyze your Wi-Fi and see the Network map and that you have the option to activate the guest wifi. Awesome product!!!

If I have one complaint it’s that there’s almost too much. It seemed like I was required to download the Nighthawk app to my phone during set up, but the functionality of the app is really handy and it’s free. No more wifi hiccups and our speed reads even higher than our plan’s cap.
