Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

I had a small problem getting it activated because the only instructions were to download the ap to a smartphone. I do not use my phone for those things. My install was for my home computer and tablet network. Once I figured some things out it was pretty easy. I would also like to say it works awesomely and would recommend it to anyone.

it seems like i am constantly having to go to app and reconnect something… it has real good range and says everything connected but it also makes me nervous because it clearly says in wifi settings that connection is unencrypted buy you get 30 days of their protection but after that its defenseless leaving your network wide open for cyber geeks?

Speed and range are much improved over my older Netgear WNDR 3400v3. I should have researched security more because 3 of my devices do not support WPA-3, requiring me to downgrade the settings to WPA-2. That is a minor disappointment. Other than that, our whole house is covered with wi-fi at 300 mbps, which is what I purchase from my ISP.
