Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

Easy to set up; especially since I kept the clould name (SSID) and password the same as on the old router I was replacing; everything automatically reconnected (wireless thermostat, security cameras, printer). I wish there was more than one ethernet port on the back of the main unit, but so far this is not a showstopper. My previous network cloud would not reach the end of the driveway even with a range extender. This mesh system does, so I am happy about that.

Got this mesh setup because I already had the nighthawk app so set up was a little more simpler and I was having issues getting a strong single Olin my room since the router was in the back off the house and I’m in the front of the house. I do slot off gaming and video streaming and this almost solved my networking issue, I can get a strong single now in my room with the setup which is great but I do have a minor latency issue it not a deal breaker and it’s really my only solution to my problem right now but it dose the job well enough and the latency is only a minor annoyance that comes up every now and then. Overall a good product but the technology isn’t there just yet for gaming in my opinion.
