Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

We bought this system because our ISP supplied unit could cover our house well enough, and with the addition of a couple wireless security cameras we needed the added signal strength. Plus our download speeds weren’t even what we were paying for. After set up, I did a speed test and we’re actually slightly faster then what we’re paying for. Great unit for our home, and our 100mbps service.

I had an mesh system that did not function correctly. I switched to the net gear Wi-Fi mesh 6 system and has worked great. I took the units out of the box hooked them up fallowed the very easy to read installation instructions and after working with my provider I had a very fast working Wi-Fi. It is now 1 month after installation and has worked flawlessly. It is a 10 out of 10 Buy one now

Speeds are fast when it works but internet connection is dropped constantly and my devices have a hard time connecting between the 2.4ghz and 5ghz signals. Not reliable enough for work meetings or gaming.

The satilite router cut out occasionally, cutting out half of our Wi-Fi devices during working hours.This is not what we expected for the price we paid. We previously had the Google wi-fi system and one of the nodes went bad, so we thought this would be a good replacement. Instead we immediately noticed that our cell phones were slower than they were on our broken Google system. The good news is is that this was the easiest router to set up. This was a bit better than our broken system, but we returned it. Our house is not prone to dead zones and it is small, so with a limited budget we got a high quality traditional router rather than this crappy mesh system.

It’s fast, but I have an OOMA phone system and a Phillips Hue Bridge that require a direct connect to the main modem but there are no available Ethernet ports. Can’t get the Hue to work despite having to purchase an extra switch at more $. No direction from Netgear on the Nighthawk.

Before I purchased this mesh system I purchased wifi extender and it wasn’t a good solution. Than I decided go with wifi 6 nighthawk mesh system. So far I get the same speed up stairs as down stairs.
