Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

I appreciate the ease of setup, although it seems I have a little less control over a manual setup on this as opposed to my previous Netgear router (r6300v2). Security appears to be beefed up on this new mesh system and covers all parts of a 3 story house. Excellent bandwidth on both 5.2 and 2.4 networks.

My old router was the same price as this one but I only got 180mbps and then switching to this router put me at 230mbps. Also did not know how much the ai mesh system helped out. Now everyone in my house has good wifi signal!

Have had the mesh up now for over a week and loving it! My Roku TV, which was 3 feet from my prior router would glitch all the time and hasn’t had even one glitch with the Mesh. Speed and connection through the entire house is great and, for the first time, I have reliable 5ghz connection upstairs! Have tried extenders, but they never worked. Mesh is definitely the way to go! As a note, I highly suggest putting all Mesh units on a UPS to prevent power related disconnects. Have used them for years and makes a huge difference on router reliability!

Installation was super easy. We have the Nighthawk set with 2 satellites. They synced right away with the base station and internet speed throughout the house is super fast now. Amour protection works great. Recommend this for everyone having issues to get even internet speed throughout their house, plus it comes with extra features like controlling everything via the app. Love the Amour protection service, not sure about the bitdefender.

Seems to mostly work, but a computer that had previously been rock solid has had flaky internet access since switching. This computer uses a Netgear USB WiFi adapter that has worked flawlessly with two other non-Netgear routers. Kind of annoying.
