Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

The Nighthawk mesh system is very convenient to set up and I like the app interface. The only con is I get true speeds when connected to the main router but a bit slower if I’m on one of the satellites.

I purchased this system because we were having an outdoor wedding reception and we live in an area with terrible cell service. Our guests were able to get full Wi-fi access throughout our entire acre yard and all we had to do was place the satellites at points close to the outer wall of the house! I needed a system to carry Wi-Fi across my home. I have a single story 2700 sq ft home. I had used a extender but I didn’t like the weak signal and dead spots. My network products have always been netgear but I didn’t want to spend the money on a orbi. I’m pretty tech savvy but this network is something anyone can set up. I had it up in 10 minutes. I like the app controls the only thing I don’t like are in app parental controls. You can stop or set limits to what device is in the network. I imagine I can set up an open dns to solve this I just have not yet.
