Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

I was at a loss for a wifi extension. Our house is not large, but the wifi will not extend throughout our entire house. When we got the NightHawk, it worked instantly, quickly, and we have had no problems with it! Worth the pruchase, even if the price is quite high.

Signal strength was weak and doesn’t work with netgear extenders. Doesn’t work with nest. No 2g or 5g, just one that doesn’t work with everything. They look cool though

Initial setup was way more difficult than it should have been. Felt like 1992 not 2022! Once setup complete, strong performance. The app is terrible is want anything other than very basic information or controls.

Very easy install and performed better than expected. Installed with 2 satellites, signal is excellent. Still learning all available options but so far very satisfied. Only downside was lack of connections but I had a Netgear switch anyway so not that big a deal.

I am really enjoying the mesh system so far. The set up was a little more complicated than I had hoped for and the speeds are not as fast I thought they would be but it is definitely better and faster than anything I have used in the past.

We have a fairly complex setup. Our cable for the house comes in with two modems; one is for a hard line business phone. The other is wifi only internet. We also have multiple, additional hubs for various smart things. I was interested only in working with the cable modem wifi. Our house is three levels, 3400 sq feet and we have a lot of wireless devices (around 35-ish in all). Setup was a breeze! I hardly needed my nerd glasses although at 70 years old, standard glasses were adequate. In less than an hour I had everything connected up and logged on. The app provides more information that I will probably need but if I ever did have an issue it seems quite intuitive and easy to use. Our previous system (an old Netgear system) wasn’t keeping up with the coverage we needed so this boost to WiFi6 was perfect. The addition of a mesh system meant that now we could install the security cameras at the farthest points that we have always wanted, and now we don’t have a lagging tv signal either. I liked that I was able to re-name the system during the setup as well. Perfect coverage, super easy to use. 5/5 stars!

The nighthawk has a very strong signal even outside of my home. We are impatiently waiting on fiber optic internet service. DSL which is my only option at the moment is seriously handicaping the performance possibilities of this system.

We struggled with our Wifi dropping out frequently and tried a small Wifi extender with very little difference. This was recommended to us by our son in law and it’s amazing how much of a difference it has made. We can now sit outside and use our tablets.
