Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

I used those for about one week, and everything was good: good signal, good coverage, good connection, good speed. The only reason I gave this four star is that it is an entry-level system. It takes a while to start the system, and it only provides a dual band, which is totally acceptable to me. Another thing is that it would be better if they could provide a wall-mount solution.

A great router as its really easy to set up and use. Biggest problem is to really get to use of all the good features you have to pay a monthly or annual fee. Thus the parental controls don’t exist unless you pay them more money. Better off just renting a router from you internet company as you get all the features and it’s cheaper!

Easy to set up and performs brilliantly. Installed in 5000 sqft home and there are no longer dead zones. Need to turn off your phone’s hotspot and shut down vpn during set up.

This system has changed everything for me , I now have great wifi all throughout my house. The only negative is that I had to title all devices myself . The system could not see the names of the devices. Besides that you will enjoy the protection it provides

Bought the Nighthawk mesh system to replace another mesh system I had. This router was very simple to setup and get going. The mobile app was straight forward I think my 13 year old could have got this going without me home. Netgear usually isn’t my first choice, but I think it would I’ll be when it’s time to replace this.

The Comcast Xfinity 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz combined router was still leaving dead spots in the house. Tried an extender and was so frustrated at having to switch WiFi networks while walking around the house. The Nighthawk Mesh system is seamless all around the house and even into the basement now. Great performance. Their interface App is excellent for network monitoring and setup as well. Really good and useful App that includes a speed test function to assist in satellite placement. My only cautionary note is to figure out what devices (wireless printers and the like) can only connect to a 2.4Ghz network and ensure your laptop can be configured to look for these on the 2.4 only. Outstanding product that has overcome years and years of mediocre WiFi performance with 4G streaming all over our 2,900 SQ-FT home and basement!
