Upgrade your home to reliable, high-speed 802.11ax Wi-Fi using the Nighthawk MK62 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear and have the freedom to smoothly stream 4K video, play games, and operate smart home devices from almost anywhere. This kit includes a compact router and a satellite that each use four internal antennas to wirelessly transfer data at up to 1.8 Gb/s across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands without having to set up multiple network names and passwords. The system provides wireless coverage for homes up to 3000 square feet, and additional satellites may be added separately to expand your home’s Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead zones. Both the router and satellite are backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac and each include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting wired devices such as smart TVs and video game consoles. Two Ethernet cables are included to get you started. You can configure and monitor the router and its satellite using the downloadable Nighthawk mobile app.

I have been using Netgear product for year I updated my Wi-Fi from the NETGEAR Nighthawk Smart Wi-Fi Router AC1900 with I think I had for ten years but I thought that was fast. But my new system runs so much smooth so much more responsive, the Feature to run hardwired cable to from the satellites is awesome by far one of the best things. My Wi-Fi coverage is the same all over my house now. This is a awesome setup I have no regrets from upgrading to this mesh system.

Love our Nighthawk system! We live in a rural area with unlimited DSL through the local phone company. It was good but still had lag time if all 4 Amazon firesticks were in use or boys were on their gaming systems, with Nighthawk we can enjoy all our wifi devices. Grandson’s are so happy they can use their gaming systems again. Nighthawk is fast, easy to set up and no more dead zones in my house.

I thought the ATT Gateway by itself was fast enough since I have the fiber optics. I live in a 2 story house and my gateway is in my upstairs northwestern room. I had to use 3 extenders which included a powerline adaptor. I could not get signal to my garage and my kitchen lights were sporadic. I received this as a gift and I’ve been let out into the light! All extenders are gone. I get strong signal even across the street! My vehicle picks up the signal even when I’m driving on the adjacent street. Love this system! My satellites are in my dining room and attic next to front door. I have no weak spots whatsoever! And to top that off, the speed is faster than my gateway while I’m next to it. There’s a 6 on the wifi icon on my phone. FREAKING AWESOME!

I purchased this wanting to upgrade my Wi-Fi in my home. After purchasing and attempting to set up on the app, which I’ve used before for my previous Wi-Fi and enjoy it thoroughly for the ease of use, it was unable to connect to the Internet on multiple attempts. It went through the entire installation set up with no issues, download it and updated firmware and then never reset. After spending approximately two hours on the phone with customer service I was informed that it is a firmware issue and there’s nothing they can do to go ahead and return it and purchase a new one. I went and purchased a new one. After going through the set up as instructed to via the app I ran into the same issue where again if it needs reset after firmware update. After spending another hour on the phone with customer service I was told to go and purchase a new one and purchase additional wires with it. As I was standing in the store I realize that doing the same thing and expecting a different result is paramount to streaking my head against the wall. The app is great but the product does not match up.

The equipment is well designed and appears to be finally working once I figured out the installation. It seems my Nighthawk was not a good partner in finding my Apple TV. Roku made a quick attachment of my second TV. I had many problems working with your Netgear app. It isn’t that user-friendly. I kept hitting the same wall, trying to get the software to find the Apple TV connection. It was bad enough not finding a way to get help, which was very frustrating. Customer Service/Tech Support is as important as new hardware-maybe even more.
