The R7000 Nighthawk AC1900 Smart Wi-Fi Router from Netgear uses a dual core 1GHz processor and AC1900 Wi-Fi technology to deliver speed and performance that’s perfect for gaming and streaming HD video. It supports both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz wireless frequencies, providing up to 1900 Mbps (600 on the 2.4 GHz band and 1300 on the 5.0 GHz band) data transfer rates.
The Nighthawk router utilizes Beamforming+ technology, meaning that unlike omnidirectional Wi-Fi which fans the signal out within a range, it communicates directly with devices such as tablets or smartphones, and beams a signal specifically to the device. This reduces interference, and provides stronger, faster, and more reliable connections. Mobile Wi-Fi speeds are much faster than previous technology thanks to the router’s high-powered amplifiers and antennas.
The R7000 Nighthawk router also supports both Google Voice assistant and Amazon’s Alexa for added functionality.

I definatly like the product but it took a few days to setup because the old persons info was not removed from the device and had to wait for it to be registered to me before I could use it , almost returned it because of that but I gave it a few days and was able to get my issues resolved

I’ve had my Nighthawk for a couple years now, and it’s been great. The nice thing about it is I rarely have to think about it. That’s a rarity when it comes to advanced technology these days! It sits in my den, quietly being excellent while my family and our guests surf, stream, game and work with little thought for our sleek and tireless partner providing signal to us all. I’d highly recommend this to a friend, and further recommend you download the accompanying app, because it is indispensable. Besides keeping my firmware up to date, the lightweight and free app provides me broad as well as granular details about my data usage, Internet speeds, connected devices, as well as any attempts by nefarious actors to attack my network with malware and other undesirables. I know it sounds like I got paid to write this review, but this is only my application. Give me a freelance writing job, would ya? I can do much better 🙂

Super cheap. Turned electricity off to update something. It never came back on. Less than 1 yr old. Garbage. Tried different adapters. It’s the router. Make weird ticking noise now but no lights.
