The R7000 Nighthawk AC1900 Smart Wi-Fi Router from Netgear uses a dual core 1GHz processor and AC1900 Wi-Fi technology to deliver speed and performance that’s perfect for gaming and streaming HD video. It supports both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz wireless frequencies, providing up to 1900 Mbps (600 on the 2.4 GHz band and 1300 on the 5.0 GHz band) data transfer rates.
The Nighthawk router utilizes Beamforming+ technology, meaning that unlike omnidirectional Wi-Fi which fans the signal out within a range, it communicates directly with devices such as tablets or smartphones, and beams a signal specifically to the device. This reduces interference, and provides stronger, faster, and more reliable connections. Mobile Wi-Fi speeds are much faster than previous technology thanks to the router’s high-powered amplifiers and antennas.
The R7000 Nighthawk router also supports both Google Voice assistant and Amazon’s Alexa for added functionality.

Good router when it works , mines updated to the max , when it’s functioning it’s a great router with good speed and connectivity the app is nice to use , have to reboot once per day however as the cellphones in the home are connected but don’t have internet access while all the other devices continue to work

Got this to replace Spectrum router which did not give me the capability to choose which band, 2.4 or 5g, so that my TV would stream better. The install was very easy and renaming my networks was also very easy. I am not a super “techie” guy, so this was right up my alley. Good range as well.

I can’t login to the app, it keeps saying “logon timed out, please try again. If this issue persists, try rebooting device” I have rebooted the device, reinstalled the app, reset the router, and nothing I do changes anything. I want to throw this router and it’s app out a window.

Speed test results don’t match the the wifi specs of this router. Speed tests were done with multiple devices on wifi standing 3 feet away from the router and only got 1/3 of the speed going into the router (around 290 mbps). Wired speed was 900 mbps.
