The R7000 Nighthawk AC1900 Smart Wi-Fi Router from Netgear uses a dual core 1GHz processor and AC1900 Wi-Fi technology to deliver speed and performance that’s perfect for gaming and streaming HD video. It supports both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz wireless frequencies, providing up to 1900 Mbps (600 on the 2.4 GHz band and 1300 on the 5.0 GHz band) data transfer rates.
The Nighthawk router utilizes Beamforming+ technology, meaning that unlike omnidirectional Wi-Fi which fans the signal out within a range, it communicates directly with devices such as tablets or smartphones, and beams a signal specifically to the device. This reduces interference, and provides stronger, faster, and more reliable connections. Mobile Wi-Fi speeds are much faster than previous technology thanks to the router’s high-powered amplifiers and antennas.
The R7000 Nighthawk router also supports both Google Voice assistant and Amazon’s Alexa for added functionality.

Miserable Experience.!. Router stopped working a few months into using it, and I was unable to log back into the setup until I powered the router of 2 ties and “hard reset” it 3 times. Now it doesn’t seem to see all of my connected devices that are plugged-in to the RJ45 connectors. Nothing but a nightmare and waste of my day.

This router works great. It has a pretty long range even if I’m out the house and in the front yard. I have like 15 devices connected, so it does the job. But idk if it’s my internet provider or if it’s the router….so the only bad thing that I would say is that it drops the connection at least 2 times a day. It takes about 5 mins to reboot and we’re back up. But overall it’s a pretty great router.

every day at around the same time a hacker or multiple hackers attack my router. we power down and they move on. had the router for 7 days. no problem for first 3 days. i had a norton smart router but that is being decommissioned jan 31 2022. any suggestions or strategies to eliminate these whack job hackers.

Product works well. Downloading an app is unnecessary tech. The constant marketing for the Armor security is annoying. I’m to the point where my mind has been so bombarded with advertisements everywhere I turn that I no longer pay attention or believe any of them.

The router is super easy to set up. The set up app is quick to install and easy to use. The only minor issue I had is I wish there was a way, in the app, to adjust the channel the router is using. You have to go to a webpage and login there to do this. You should be able to do everything all in one place. Either you do everything in the app or you use a website, otherwise there is no point in having the app if you still have to go somewhere else to access some control features.

Worked well for a year or two but now it can’t hold the internet connection for more than a few hours. On a video call? Forget it. Want to stream? Not happening. It’s definitely victim to the concept of technology obsolescence.

Unpleased with this product. Purchased the product and after the hardware warranty expired. The port on my device just went out. It was working fine one day. Then the next day, literally nothing. Port just goes out and I’m just stuck. Now I have to pay for the internet person coming out and I also have to go buy a new router or pay to rent their device.

This router is the best router I have ever owned I have not had any problems with it for as long as I have owned it.
