The R7000 Nighthawk AC1900 Smart Wi-Fi Router from Netgear uses a dual core 1GHz processor and AC1900 Wi-Fi technology to deliver speed and performance that’s perfect for gaming and streaming HD video. It supports both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz wireless frequencies, providing up to 1900 Mbps (600 on the 2.4 GHz band and 1300 on the 5.0 GHz band) data transfer rates.
The Nighthawk router utilizes Beamforming+ technology, meaning that unlike omnidirectional Wi-Fi which fans the signal out within a range, it communicates directly with devices such as tablets or smartphones, and beams a signal specifically to the device. This reduces interference, and provides stronger, faster, and more reliable connections. Mobile Wi-Fi speeds are much faster than previous technology thanks to the router’s high-powered amplifiers and antennas.
The R7000 Nighthawk router also supports both Google Voice assistant and Amazon’s Alexa for added functionality.

It does what it is supposed to for the most part. I do have a little bit of an issue fonnecting every once in a while and I don’t get all the speed that I pay for in my internet package, but I’m not sure if that is a problem with the router, the modem, or the internet service itself. I really want to get one of the newer models of the nighthawk though. Although I don’t know if it will completely fix the issues I’m having, I am positive it may help.

I have had Netgear products since day one and with every product it never fails to impress. I love the connectivity and security. On top of all that our ISP is COMCAST XFINITY and it adds that much more security but that isn’t the main focal point I love the Netgear NightHulk it is turly fast and it really really lives up to its price tag hands down. As some one who dose a lot of coding and other networking stuff this guy stands up to the plate with no problems.

This thing is a work horse, supplies good coverage to my entire smart home, and both home offices. Eventually I’ll upgrade to a wifi 6 router when 6e comes out but this is fantastic for normal use!
