The R7000 Nighthawk AC1900 Smart Wi-Fi Router from Netgear uses a dual core 1GHz processor and AC1900 Wi-Fi technology to deliver speed and performance that’s perfect for gaming and streaming HD video. It supports both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz wireless frequencies, providing up to 1900 Mbps (600 on the 2.4 GHz band and 1300 on the 5.0 GHz band) data transfer rates.
The Nighthawk router utilizes Beamforming+ technology, meaning that unlike omnidirectional Wi-Fi which fans the signal out within a range, it communicates directly with devices such as tablets or smartphones, and beams a signal specifically to the device. This reduces interference, and provides stronger, faster, and more reliable connections. Mobile Wi-Fi speeds are much faster than previous technology thanks to the router’s high-powered amplifiers and antennas.
The R7000 Nighthawk router also supports both Google Voice assistant and Amazon’s Alexa for added functionality.

Easy set up if you understand that default isn’t the password. Password is the default. I must have spent 20 minutes hung up on that. However, every thing else went great, there’s been no hiccups, and all my stuff is running blazing fast! I like!

This router stop working after 11 months of usage and Netgear refused to replace or repair it because I did not purchase the extended warranty support plan. I don’t recommend this product it is not worth it. Thank you Netgear never again.

Not quite as easy as plug in and go, once I figured out I had to install an app to get it up and running it was quick and easy! I also needed to install a wifi extender that again I thought would be plug in and go but it was WAY trickier getting this to work with my Nighthawk AC1900. Again once I figured it out it is working great as well!

I have had problems with slower download speeds and drops in connection. I connected with Netgear chat line and they were helpful, but I was disconnected 3 times during the exchange and each time had to start over telling my problem. I think it is okay now, but will withhold my judgement until I have tried it for a few days.
