The R7000 Nighthawk AC1900 Smart Wi-Fi Router from Netgear uses a dual core 1GHz processor and AC1900 Wi-Fi technology to deliver speed and performance that’s perfect for gaming and streaming HD video. It supports both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz wireless frequencies, providing up to 1900 Mbps (600 on the 2.4 GHz band and 1300 on the 5.0 GHz band) data transfer rates.
The Nighthawk router utilizes Beamforming+ technology, meaning that unlike omnidirectional Wi-Fi which fans the signal out within a range, it communicates directly with devices such as tablets or smartphones, and beams a signal specifically to the device. This reduces interference, and provides stronger, faster, and more reliable connections. Mobile Wi-Fi speeds are much faster than previous technology thanks to the router’s high-powered amplifiers and antennas.
The R7000 Nighthawk router also supports both Google Voice assistant and Amazon’s Alexa for added functionality.

I’ve been having trouble with my router since day one. Not necessarily with the router but with getting the router to sync with my modem. Somethings not right either with my Internet server or my router. I’m still trying to find out after three conversations with Netgear and two service calls from my Internet provider. I can submit a review laterAs I have another service call scheduled with my provider in a week. In addition I plan to call net gear and ask them a few questions regarding my 5G service on the router. Which unfortunately doesn’t seem to be working. Hopefully the tech-support can make some adjustments and it’ll get better. I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Thank you

This router is great! It produces a strong signal and doesn’t get bogged down with multiple devices on the network and multiple devices hardwired to it. Having 4 Ethernet ports is great for hardwiring smart TVs and gaming consoles. I’d recommend this router to anyone who wants a stronger router but doesn’t want to pay an unreasonable amount

Holy signal strength, Batman! What a difference. I installed the AC1900 R7000 and followed the instructions and screen prompts. Set up my private WIFI network username and password and was online in minutes. I can now surf the web and listen to my internet radio, in my kitchen, without buffering and lock ups.
