The R7000 Nighthawk AC1900 Smart Wi-Fi Router from Netgear uses a dual core 1GHz processor and AC1900 Wi-Fi technology to deliver speed and performance that’s perfect for gaming and streaming HD video. It supports both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz wireless frequencies, providing up to 1900 Mbps (600 on the 2.4 GHz band and 1300 on the 5.0 GHz band) data transfer rates.
The Nighthawk router utilizes Beamforming+ technology, meaning that unlike omnidirectional Wi-Fi which fans the signal out within a range, it communicates directly with devices such as tablets or smartphones, and beams a signal specifically to the device. This reduces interference, and provides stronger, faster, and more reliable connections. Mobile Wi-Fi speeds are much faster than previous technology thanks to the router’s high-powered amplifiers and antennas.
The R7000 Nighthawk router also supports both Google Voice assistant and Amazon’s Alexa for added functionality.

Just installed the Netgear R7000. I went outside and was over 300 feet away from the house and had 2 bows. No problems with connecting. The Netgear R7000 coverage far surpasses the linksys router I previously used. Very pleased.

I love this router, easy set up, there are 2.4 and 5G separate signal, so my ring doorbell 2 can connect to WiFi. It was not before when I connected to a Motorola docsis3.1 combo. Called the ring team for help they find out ring doorbell 2 is not compatible with modem docsic3.1. Now with the spectrum modem docsic3.1 and Netgear nighthawk ac 1900 that sold a proplem.

Recently upgraded to this device and streams flawlessly. Also upgraded the firmware to support Express VPN to mask all the devices attached. Great product!

My wifi constantly goes out. My ethernet works perfectly but I am having so many issues with the wifi and I have called support many times and they have tried troubleshooting all different things but nothing has worked. They won’t let me replace it and now I am stuck working from home with a router that only works 50% of the time. But when it does work, it works very well.

It worked very well for about 2 weeks and then it would randomly disconnect from the internet. My modem was steady throughout and never disconnected but the router would. Once it dropped the internet, it would reset. This started happening every other day and eventually, over a course of 2 weeks, every five minutes.

Router needs to be reset daily. Appears to be well known once you google the forums. Internet is constantly cutting out. Have to reset the wireless router every 20 hours or so. This should be a throw it on the shelf and forget it piece of equipment. Ready to throw it in a bonfire. So frustrated with this hunk of junk
