The R7000 Nighthawk AC1900 Smart Wi-Fi Router from Netgear uses a dual core 1GHz processor and AC1900 Wi-Fi technology to deliver speed and performance that’s perfect for gaming and streaming HD video. It supports both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz wireless frequencies, providing up to 1900 Mbps (600 on the 2.4 GHz band and 1300 on the 5.0 GHz band) data transfer rates.
The Nighthawk router utilizes Beamforming+ technology, meaning that unlike omnidirectional Wi-Fi which fans the signal out within a range, it communicates directly with devices such as tablets or smartphones, and beams a signal specifically to the device. This reduces interference, and provides stronger, faster, and more reliable connections. Mobile Wi-Fi speeds are much faster than previous technology thanks to the router’s high-powered amplifiers and antennas.
The R7000 Nighthawk router also supports both Google Voice assistant and Amazon’s Alexa for added functionality.

Got this to see if there would be any improvement in the signal range over the unit that came with my monthly internet plan and it is about 5-10x better speed and range. Before I would lose wifi about 20-30ft from the router and with the Nighthawk R7000 I get full wifi almost 50-100ft from the router all the way out to the garage. I used to have a streaming stick that was so slow and after upgrading the router using the Firestick has also drastically improved menu lag.

Product works as expected. Needed to call tech support due to lack of documentation supplied with router. Web site was a terrible resource that did not supply documentation and information for set-up or optimization of the router. You should not need to call tsch support to set-up a router! Need to supply documentation with products and/or have clear, detailed instruction, by model on web site. This is a major problem with your products. Performance of product is good overall
