The R7000 Nighthawk AC1900 Smart Wi-Fi Router from Netgear uses a dual core 1GHz processor and AC1900 Wi-Fi technology to deliver speed and performance that’s perfect for gaming and streaming HD video. It supports both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz wireless frequencies, providing up to 1900 Mbps (600 on the 2.4 GHz band and 1300 on the 5.0 GHz band) data transfer rates.
The Nighthawk router utilizes Beamforming+ technology, meaning that unlike omnidirectional Wi-Fi which fans the signal out within a range, it communicates directly with devices such as tablets or smartphones, and beams a signal specifically to the device. This reduces interference, and provides stronger, faster, and more reliable connections. Mobile Wi-Fi speeds are much faster than previous technology thanks to the router’s high-powered amplifiers and antennas.
The R7000 Nighthawk router also supports both Google Voice assistant and Amazon’s Alexa for added functionality.

I purchased a new Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 last week. I work from home and reliable connectivity is absolutely essential. The installation instructions were very clear and the setup was easy. I was operational in no time. The WIFI coverage in my house was vastly improved and I was able to participate in a Zoom meeting from the furthest corner of my house with no hiccups or screen freezing.

Even though I am a 30-year veteran of IT, the setup and config was no problem and I was up and running in no time. Then, when my cable modem stopped working, this router had the advanced features I needed to set it up as a wireless access point for my network. But the thing that I appreciate about the R7000 is that it allows me to setup a VPN on the router, thus hiding my Internet activity from prying eyes. I recommend this router to anyone, no matter their comfort level with technology.

Bought router for 2 reasons. First reason was Netgear reputation. Second reason was for the Circle parental controls available. Router works great for all my wireless devices: Cell Phones, Laptops, Gaming Systems, etc. Plus the Circle Parental Controls are wonderful to have for piece of mind for our younger children. No need to worry about them being exposed to harmful sites and/or images out on the internet. I would highly recommend this router to everyone.

This router is THE absolute best router I have ever had with any wifi set up I’ve owned. Being an electronic heavy family and using a lot of devices with the dual band router it’s is immaculate for keeping its high speeds with every device connect. With the upwards of 1800 sq feet I can use any of my devices wherever in the house and still have the fast connection as if I was right next to it. I’ve had router before where if i went into the next room over I would lose my connection but never with this.

This is capable of reaching correct speeds. When getting help to connect it up from Netgear back in July, it was only reaching 80-100mbps instead of 300mbps. After Spectrum connected it correctly, it reached it reached 500mbps ( we had upgraded). Therefore, it is capable.

I’m currently residing in a long stay hotel that has godawful wifi/Internet connection that rarely connects, and if it does connect, the internet provided is so unstable that it’s recognized as a virus on all my devices and redirects me to spam websites. I was losing my mind not being able to do my school work and actual online job, until I purchased this NetGear Router. Now I have a stable, constant internet connection at all times and can do as much work as I please, when I please. Truly saved me!! Plus the password protection makes it so that I have control of who can and can’t use the touter’s service at any given time, which both makes me feel safer and keeps the router from getting overwhelmed by devices by accident. It’s a god send!
