The R7000 Nighthawk AC1900 Smart Wi-Fi Router from Netgear uses a dual core 1GHz processor and AC1900 Wi-Fi technology to deliver speed and performance that’s perfect for gaming and streaming HD video. It supports both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz wireless frequencies, providing up to 1900 Mbps (600 on the 2.4 GHz band and 1300 on the 5.0 GHz band) data transfer rates.
The Nighthawk router utilizes Beamforming+ technology, meaning that unlike omnidirectional Wi-Fi which fans the signal out within a range, it communicates directly with devices such as tablets or smartphones, and beams a signal specifically to the device. This reduces interference, and provides stronger, faster, and more reliable connections. Mobile Wi-Fi speeds are much faster than previous technology thanks to the router’s high-powered amplifiers and antennas.
The R7000 Nighthawk router also supports both Google Voice assistant and Amazon’s Alexa for added functionality.

We’ve had 2 of these now and one lasted approx 1.5 yr, the second lasted approx 1 year before failing and needing to be replaced. We did update them which didn’t help. Their phone support is useless; they want you to purchase support. Will not ever spend this kind of money on this brand again and do not recommend. Routers nowadays should last at least 5 years by all research.

I got this one to replace another AC1900 which was dropping internet access all the time. This unit does the same. The networking works great, and the range is terrific. But I need the internet access to be reliable which is something these units cannot deliver.

I have been using this for 4 years now and i have never had a problem with this router . It’s never had poor signal or frozen and i use it for multiple devices. I absolutely recommend this router to all my friends and coworkers as well . I use it for streaming movies, music, and internet on the computer and my daughter uses it for gaming and movies. The customer service was also extremely helpful and i no longer have the warranty but they were kind, patient, and helped walk me through my questions step by step until i understood . I know I’m being repetitive, but i 100% reccomend this product and support this company based off my personal experiences .

I’ve been using Netgear Nighthawk for years now. It had excellent performance and has been really reliable. I also like that they do updates from time to time. I got this model of the router to upgrade from my other Nighthawk that didn’t have as much range. I definitely notice a difference in the range and would highly recommend.

Gives my N300 extender a stronger signal but overall have not noticed an improvement from my R6250 router. I thought it would improve dropoff of sigmal through my 1800 sq foot 2 stiry house but it the same as what it was before wiith the old router. Plus side is it does have more features than the old router.
