The R7000 Nighthawk AC1900 Smart Wi-Fi Router from Netgear uses a dual core 1GHz processor and AC1900 Wi-Fi technology to deliver speed and performance that’s perfect for gaming and streaming HD video. It supports both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz wireless frequencies, providing up to 1900 Mbps (600 on the 2.4 GHz band and 1300 on the 5.0 GHz band) data transfer rates.
The Nighthawk router utilizes Beamforming+ technology, meaning that unlike omnidirectional Wi-Fi which fans the signal out within a range, it communicates directly with devices such as tablets or smartphones, and beams a signal specifically to the device. This reduces interference, and provides stronger, faster, and more reliable connections. Mobile Wi-Fi speeds are much faster than previous technology thanks to the router’s high-powered amplifiers and antennas.
The R7000 Nighthawk router also supports both Google Voice assistant and Amazon’s Alexa for added functionality.

I initially bought this for a neighbor who lived in a brick building, as his router was cheap and he complained about the speeds and how far he could use his laptop. The range and speed on this is incredible. It was able to reach outside his brick apartment and to the backyard, which was about 30 yards away, to stream movies on an hd projector with no lag. So nice

I have had my cable company’s router since forever and it worked ok. Last couple of months not as good. They replaced with newest model. It would not recognise my extender. So bought the nighthawk and a call to tech support and it has better signal everywhere in my yard house and wood shop than I ever had in just the house before. Very pleased

Great router for the price I paid for a refurbished model. Works well but has to be turned off and back on once a week at least to basically clear the cache for it to work correctly. Speeds are great hardline and on 5ghz.
