With wireless data transfer rates of up to 2300 Mbps, the R7000P Nighthawk AC2300 Dual-Band Gigabit Router from NETGEAR is designed to offer the wireless bandwidth needed to stream multimedia content, download large files, and more all at the same time. The Nighthawk AC2300 also supports MU-MIMO technology providing multiple, separate data paths giving wireless users a dedicated connection to the network. Once configured, the R7000P supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi network standards and operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. If a wired connection is needed the Nighthawk also features four Gigabit LAN ports as well as a single USB 3.0 port and a single USB 2.0 port to connect compatible USB peripherals directly to the network.
The R7000P Nighthawk isn’t your ordinary router and it comes equipped with a variety of features designed to enhance your network including Dynamic QoS, Smart Connect technology, a variety of network sharing apps, configuration utilities, and security applications to ensure you get the most out of your Nighthawk R7000P. With Dynamic QoS the Nighthawk is able to prioritize network traffic to ensure bandwidth heavy tasks such as streaming video, gaming, and other data hogging applications operate smoothly. Additionally, Smart Connect technology is designed to ensure every device is connected to the fastest available Wi-Fi Band.

I’ve had an old NETGEAR router for the last 5 years that was slowly dying and I knew it was time to upgrade. I decided to go with the nighthawk AC2300 and I could not have made a better choice. Not only has my internet speed increased, but my online gaming experience has been severely changed. I have very minimal lag if any at all and with having multiple devices connected to this router I still see no delay or hiccups in my connection. If you’re looking for a budget router that just does what you need it to do, plus more… I would definitely choose the Nighthawk AC2300, you will not regret it.

I had a sturdy old black and blue router that served me well, but my cat loved to sit right on top of it for warmth, and it finally died. I had to go back and forth between Nighthawk and Netgear apps in the end there were confusing choices on which network was appropriate. I was stuck on the last two steps. I wish there was a way to detect a consumer is stuck on a step and help is offered by tech support either by mail or by phone.

I’ve recently switched from wireless problems to a problem free wireless network that is controlled by a company that actually cares about WHO connects to your WiFi this device needs an owner to activate and an owner to connect devices no access to WiFi out of your Registered devices and a simple application to tell you what is exactly connected I had bandwidth increase and problems dropp right off Thanks Nighthawlk and my speed went up to 114 I was at 20 sometimes 60 sometimes with router suppliers .DONE
