With wireless data transfer rates of up to 2300 Mbps, the R7000P Nighthawk AC2300 Dual-Band Gigabit Router from NETGEAR is designed to offer the wireless bandwidth needed to stream multimedia content, download large files, and more all at the same time. The Nighthawk AC2300 also supports MU-MIMO technology providing multiple, separate data paths giving wireless users a dedicated connection to the network. Once configured, the R7000P supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi network standards and operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. If a wired connection is needed the Nighthawk also features four Gigabit LAN ports as well as a single USB 3.0 port and a single USB 2.0 port to connect compatible USB peripherals directly to the network.
The R7000P Nighthawk isn’t your ordinary router and it comes equipped with a variety of features designed to enhance your network including Dynamic QoS, Smart Connect technology, a variety of network sharing apps, configuration utilities, and security applications to ensure you get the most out of your Nighthawk R7000P. With Dynamic QoS the Nighthawk is able to prioritize network traffic to ensure bandwidth heavy tasks such as streaming video, gaming, and other data hogging applications operate smoothly. Additionally, Smart Connect technology is designed to ensure every device is connected to the fastest available Wi-Fi Band.

The moment I turned it up, it was working. the network ID and password were on the device, and my phone connected to it immediately. I downloaded that app which allowed me to make some basic changes. Again super easy to use. Range seems good enought, I haven’t tested its limit yet.

Before this router, I had bought a different Netgear router(that I can’t remember the model number for) that kept on rebooting and the channels router would need to be rebooted manually up to 5 or 6 times a day. After that, I decided to go for a new router and I was thinking about avoiding Netgear all together but ended up giving them another chance and I have to say that I’m glad I did! This router had a super easy setup and it hasn’t dropped its connection once since I set it up. The router provides many options and provides very fast speeds on both the 5 ghz and 2.4 ghz channels. I am very happy with this router!
