With wireless data transfer rates of up to 2300 Mbps, the R7000P Nighthawk AC2300 Dual-Band Gigabit Router from NETGEAR is designed to offer the wireless bandwidth needed to stream multimedia content, download large files, and more all at the same time. The Nighthawk AC2300 also supports MU-MIMO technology providing multiple, separate data paths giving wireless users a dedicated connection to the network. Once configured, the R7000P supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi network standards and operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. If a wired connection is needed the Nighthawk also features four Gigabit LAN ports as well as a single USB 3.0 port and a single USB 2.0 port to connect compatible USB peripherals directly to the network.
The R7000P Nighthawk isn’t your ordinary router and it comes equipped with a variety of features designed to enhance your network including Dynamic QoS, Smart Connect technology, a variety of network sharing apps, configuration utilities, and security applications to ensure you get the most out of your Nighthawk R7000P. With Dynamic QoS the Nighthawk is able to prioritize network traffic to ensure bandwidth heavy tasks such as streaming video, gaming, and other data hogging applications operate smoothly. Additionally, Smart Connect technology is designed to ensure every device is connected to the fastest available Wi-Fi Band.

My son bought this router as it is from Netgear, as reputable company. He installed it and add the devices. The router was great on setup, then next day the wireless fell of by 50%. Tried several reboots but did not work. The app is a joke for the devices list. One green bar on all devices common. Wired got the best signal. Had to change to another company. Hopefully it will work well with new router.

The nighthawk has provided me with amazing wireless connection with amazing range. The range of the nighthawk is what really drew me to it in the first place and trust me, my expectations were exceeded. The nighthawk ranges, for me, a good 50-60 yards. The only drawback is I have been having trouble with wired connections to the router itself losing internet off and on. I’m not sure if I missed a setting while setting up? Beside that I still would give the nighthawk 5 stars all the way!!!

I will keep it short and sweet: The NETGEAR Nighthawk AC2300 not only has great overall coverage, but it is so easy to connect to right out the box. The Nighthawk app is very simple to follow. The router is very stylish and easy to view from a distance, which ports are in use ( I do wish there was a feature to somehow stealth the status lights as they are bright and can distract away from viewing the TV. Of course that’s if you have it staged in a media cabinet) I usually don’t give any feedback unless it’s negative, but this router so far is the best I’ve ever had in terms of overall satisfaction.
